Declaration on accessibility
The Federal Chancellery strives to make its websites accessible in accordance with the Web Accessibility Act (German: Web-Zugänglichkeits-Gesetz (WZG) idgF) to implement Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 October 2016 on barrier-free access to the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies (German: Richtlinie (EU) 2016/2102) (Official Journal L 327, 2.12.2016, p. 1).
This accessibility statement applies to the website www.digitale-arche.at.
Status of compatibility with the requirements
This website is partially compliant with compliance level AA of the "Web Content Accessibility Guidelines - WCAG 2.1" respectively with the applicable European Standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021-03) due to the non-compliance(s).
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reason(s):
(a) non-compliance with the WZG
The headings that are not properly nested. The content on the homepage starts with h2, followd by the page heading (h1) for screenreader users. Thus, WCAG Success Criterion 1.3.1 and 2.4.10 are not met.
In English, some images, buttons and sections are described or labeled in German and not provided with the language code. Thus, WCAG Success Criterion 3.1.2 is not met. The English texts will be incorporated shortly.
(c) the content is not within the scope of the applicable legislation
Content from third parties, such as studies or presentation materials from external speakers over which the Federal Chancellery has no control, are exempt from Directive (EU) 2016/2102. No statement can be made regarding the compatibility of this third-party content with accessibility regulations.

This statement was prepared on 8 January 2024.
The assessment of the website's compliance with the WZG to implement the requirements of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 was carried out in the form of a self-test according to WCAG 2.1 at compliance level AA.

Enforcement procedure
In the event of unsatisfactory responses from the above contact option, you can contact the Austrian Research Promotion Agency with limited liability (FFG) by means of a complaint. The FFG accepts complaints electronically via the contact form.

The complaints are examined by the FFG to determine whether they relate to violations of the provisions of the Web Accessibility Act, in particular deficiencies in compliance with the accessibility requirements, by the federal government or an institution attributable to it.
If the complaint is justified, the FFG must issue recommendations for action to the federal government or the legal entities concerned and propose measures to remedy the deficiencies at hand.
